You should never take a break from training

I had a long day today…early starts and late finishes are no way to live. I am looking forward to mid January and in particular February when the workload should ease up a little.

Anyway enough moaning…had a visitor tonight who hasn’t been in the gym for a while…immediate action was required…I hate fat people.

First step…set thermostat to appropriate temperature.

Then suit up and get working…

the do some more work…

and finish some more work…desperate times call for desperate measures.

Anyway…as bad as I felt by the end of the day…I bet I still felt better than Jonny who came in a preceded to drop 3kgs to make weight for his weigh in tomorrow morning…he can’t even use water to brush his teeth tonight…in case he swallows some…he is only allowed to vacuum his teeth tonight.

  1. What the hell Will. I read the usual monday post and you said that you where not going to post anything else this week, liar! Two questions:
    1. Do you remember when you posted about periodisation and your thoughts about it not working? Ive tried to find that post but its quite some work to search around in your blog.
    2. If you can do 22-25 chins on a BW of 90 kg and you can do weighted 5×6 with 30 kg hanging and you want to get your BW rep up to over 30, what type of program would you suggest?

  2. hey Joel the post is in late may under the title (I wrote this a while ago…more of a conversation …) if your talking about not bothering to peak a team
    Hope that helps
Also to help will it probably depends on what you are doingnow
whether you will lose weight and whether that strength got you to those reps or not
    thanks for your time

if his teeth fall out, that will make him weigh less.. just sayin
His teeth might just actually fall out in fact…he made his weigh in spot on this morning…then proceeded to drink a protein shake..then eat a breakfast roll then washed it all down with some Maximuscle Viper…a short time later he took the porcelain bus for a spin. I think he has an eating disorder. He might have bulimia.

Was he going to fight Shoot (Chute)?
I don’t get that? Does that mean I’m dumb?

    Yeah Joel…what he said.

  4. My comment was a reference to an 80’s sports movie. Matthew Modine is a wrestler on a Vision Quest and he spends a lot of time in a rubber suit. He’s going to fight Chute (the current champion in the weightclass).

Fuck it, any joke you have to explain…

Is that the movie where the guy is doing endless push ups everywhere? Do you happen to remember if there is ever a shot in the movie of him doing push ups for a minute and if so how many did he do?
