I think I’m finished with the blog…

…I got a new heart rate monitor and I will be investing all my spare time into that now.

Against the advice of others…I got a new heart rate monitor to better keep track of my training…IT’S BRILLIANT!

The thing that I am concerned about most though is that I exceeded my maximum heart rate on numerous occasions.

  1. When i first got my RS200sd i was pretty excited about the features and stuff – after over a year i still havent read the manual to work out how to use half the things 😦

  2. Ok,

so I know I’m not the most technically enlightened . . . but what’s so cool about a heart rate monitor?

I can hear my heart pumping in my head when I’m training, I don’t need no stinking monitor … umm, do I?

    Oh I don’t even know where to start…so I won’t.

I used a heart rate monitor for just about every session I did for years and years when I was competing. Thought it was time to start structuring my training better…since I was ACTUALLY going to be training.

I’m sure you’ll be fine. Apparently I’m just a fat, old, cripple…well that’s what I’ve been told…so I need all the help I can get.

What type did you get Fat boy.
I got the RS400. Both Lyle and Fergus had got the more ‘sophisticated’ versions and had nothing but trouble. It does all the stuff I want/need it to do and a shit load more.

  5. I bought one in Lidl’s (booya!)about 2 years ago and while I occasionally was clinically dead and at other times I had the heart rate of a racehorse, mostly it did the job. Alas now it is broken so I’m looking to invest in a new one and this time I think I’ll spend some money. I found that my sessions I did solo went up in intensity.

It’s great when you first get them though cos you walk around with them on for everything. Making coffee 85bpm, running up stairs 95bpm, having a dump 105bpm.
