I haven’t written standard direct shoulder work into a program for over 10 years

But that is not to say that we don’t do shoulder work…we do…what I am trying to say is that I don’t do targeted mass building work for shoulders….this is for a lot of reasons…1. I think they get plenty of work in just about every upper body exercise. 2. In field sports…contact sports….shoulders just get smashed up…they just don’t need the extra pressure of targeted mass building work like lateral raises and their ilk. Now saying that…we do pressing movements…but not much…and not often.

What we do a lot of is scap work and it is a part of every upper warm up.

I was asked what we do….here’s a list.
Scap Push Ups
Scap Rows

Inverted Shrugs or a Scap Press
Y,T,W,L’s…with these it is really 3 movements…the extended arm position, the pulling back and down of the scapula and then the execution of the movement.
